I have selected this painting by Susan Ashworth as I think the way she has captured the light is exquisite, it has a limited palette but still sings. The structural way she has depicted the eucalyptus gives the spaces in between as much relevance as the subject itself. Some paintings impart a mood, and to me, this painting has a sense of calm and serenity about it. Susan makes it look effortless, but its not!
