This painting by Daniel Ablitt has a totally magical quality. With his delicate brushwork, Dan manages to brilliantly capture the sunlight filtering through the trees. One almost feels in the midst of a glade, and to sense the stillness and peace. For those of us lucky enough to have been in the country over the past few weeks of lockdown, our connection with nature has strengthened, and along with it, our appreciation of all the elements of the natural world. Dan’s painting encapsulates the particular purity and silence of the woods this summer.
