Paul Treasure was born in 1961 in Gloucestershire and after leaving school, studied at Cheltenham College of Art. He moved to London in 1985 where he worked as a professional artist, painting to commission for clients worldwide. In 1991, he took a year's sabbatical to travel and paint in Africa, India, Indonesia and South America. In 1993, he went as expedition artist on the first ever crossing of the Taklamakan Desert in North West China for 3 months.
He now works from his studio in Hampshire and exhibits regularly around the country. His passion for fly fishing has inspired his recent body of work, a series if scenes painted on the banks of River Itchen during the spring and summer.
