Bindy graduated from Winchester School of Art with a BA in Visual Arts in 2003 and her work was chosen as the best art for the Winchester School of Art advertising campaign.
Bindy has been exhibiting with us since Spring 2009 and has had two solo exhibitions at Pilgrims Studio.
At present, my work has evolved through thoughts of nature, intertwined with metaphor and memories. I am interested in the boundaries of the abstract and the figurative.
I like the idea of bringing the outside inside, and the notion of the outside being unconstraining in contrast to the containment and constraints of the interior.
Colour is a dominant factor. I don't use colour as a tool for perspective or tone. I am drawn more to the emotions it brings to the work, creating sensation and tactility.
